Course Description
Prerequisite: Minimum grade of C in ENGL 115, ENGL 103W, ENGL 103, or ENGL 104, or English placement test score (Level 2 or higher). Concurrent enrollment in ENGL 115 allowed. This course will provide an overview of the criminal justice system in the United States. It will examine the various components (police, courts, & corrections) of the criminal justice system and provide a perspective on how they are linked and operate. The course will also cover the historical and contemporary issues that challenge and confront these component organizations. [Semesters Offered: Fall]
