Course Description

Prerequisite: Minimum grade of C in MUSI 101 or permission of appropriate Dean. A study of the basic harmonic materials of 18th century Western Europe. Emphasis is placed on harmonic analysis, part writing, and harmonizing simple melodies. Some piano skills are required. Concurrent enrollment in MUSI 106 required for music majors. [Semesters Offered: Spring]
