Course Description
Prerequisite: Minimum grade of C in MUSI 102. A study of the history of music in Western Civilization from Antiquity through the Baroque Era. Significant emphasis is on the development of styles, compositional forms, notation, and scales, as well as, social, cultural, political and economic influences. Degree distribution credit can be given for only one of the following: MUSI 110, MUSI 203, MUSI 204. [Semesters Offered: Variable]
